Starting from the Adamello Ski territory,
follow the SS 42 (national road) all the way to the junction
that goes to Monno and Passo Mortirolo at 1852 m.
Magnificent scenery that includes mountain pastures and an enchanting
forest await you at the top. Then, go down all the way to Tirano,
where a brief visit to the town centre is possible.
Then, continue towards the Swiss border
(it is mandatory to have an official document with you –
a personal identification card or passport, a driver’s license
is not valid) in order to go up to the Passo Bernina at 2323m,
a magnificent and exciting itinerary. Descend down to St.Moritz,
a brief stop is definitely a must.
Then off again towards Zernez, Scuol,
Martina. You will then enter into Austria, continuing
to follow the road that will bring you back to Italy, passing through
Nauders in order to arrive at Passo Resia. It is famous
because of the church steeple that emerges from the middle of the
lake that also bears the same name. It is an excellent idea to stop
here and have something to eat.
Off again towards Malles and Silandro
in Val Venosta, in order to arrive in Merano
and from here onto Bolzano, then Appiano and from
here up to Passo Mendola at 1383 m. The view from
here is quite breathtaking and your lungs will appreciate
breathing in all the fresh air. From here continue onwards reaching
Fondo (it is possible to make a detour to the S.Romedio sanctuary,
a striking hermitage that was built overlooking a canyon that crosses
through the valley, there are also two brown bears that live here)
and then off to Cis, Croviana and Mezzana, cross through Val di Sole,
returning into the Adamello Ski territory
For extra fun on your motorcycle
Definitely the Bernina, a long track that
climbs up the mountain! The Swiss plain, Val Venosta (if
only it wasn’t such a busy road). The climb up to Passo
Mendola, 15 bends and a 2 km section underneath a cliff with
bends and counter bends that are truly splendid, then descend down
from this pass. Then once again the climb up to and down again from
Passo Tonale.
