Starting from the Adamello Ski territory
follow the SS42 national road until you reach the ring road
to Brescia and then Desenzano. From here, take the national
road that goes to Sirmione. It is recommended stopping to
visit this ancient town which is quite enchanting and known for
its thermal spa.
Then off again towards the veronese side of the
lake, to Lazise and Bardolino. Just before reaching
this last town, on the left of the road, there is a small park directly
on the lake that is equipped for having a BBQ, where you
can stop and enjoy the scenery.
Continuing onwards Malcesine you can stop
to visit Mount Baldo, that can be reached by taking the rotating
cableway(it makes a 360° turn in the second section). The view
is magnificent, a visit here requires about two hours). A round
trip ticket on the cableway costs 16,00 euros.
Then off to Riva del Garda, which is worth
visiting for its historical centre, and then off to Limone,
once again onto the brescia side of the lake. The name of the town
derives from the fact that its unusual Mediterranean microclimate
allows lemons to grow in this area. From here go towards Salò
and then take the ring road to Brescia and Alta Valle Camonica.
